The Kosciusko Lady Whippets traveled to North Pontotoc to play the Lady Vikings in the first game of the best of three series in round two of the 4A State playoffs and came away winners, 8-0. The Lady Whippets opened the game with 4 runs in the top of the first inning. Then scored runs in the 2nd, 6th, and 7th inning for a total of 8 runs while shutting out the powerful Lady Vikings. Whippet pitcher Anna Grace Whitehead had 16 strike outs in leading Kosciusko to the victory. The series now comes to Kosciusko for game two with the first pitch set for 6:30pm.
