The Lady Whippets face off in game two of the State Championship Series against the Lady Cougars. The Lady Cougars and Whippets were scoreless through the first four innings. The Lady Cougars were the first to break the ice in the top of the fifth inning with two runs on three hits (0-2). The Lady Whippets answered back with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Lady Cougars were held scoreless in the top of the sixth. The Lady Whippets continued to pour it on in the bottom of the sixth with two runs on three hits (5-2). The Lady Cougars failed to earn the remaining runs in the seventh giving the Lady Whippets the victory and State Champion Title. Congratulations Lady Whippets.
