A freshman state representative from Preston has been arrested in Kemper County, charged with receiving stolen property.   The sheriff’s department’s website says Keith Jackson was booked Monday morning and released on bond two hours later.  It says the charge against him is a felony.  Jackson, 45, was elected to his first term in House District 45 as a Democrat last November, representing Kemper, Lauderdale, Winston and Neshoba counties.  His bio on the legislature’s website lists his occupation as a law enforcement officer.
