A young Lexington man is facing a capital murder charge, accused of killing a police officer in Terrell, Texas. Investigators say it happened Sunday night after Darrian Cortez Johnson, 25, was pulled over for having an expired tag on his truck. Officer Jacob Candanoza was shot several times at close range. Johnson was arrested about six hours later after he wrecked his truck while being chased and fled into some woods.
