Over the weekend, Grand Slam Tournaments held an All-Star Tournament to showcase the talent of different baseball teams from around the state.
Over 150 kids, ages 8-12, competed in different skills competitions such as fastest pitch, pop up catch time, home run derby, home to home running time and first to home running time. They also played games after the skills comps and combined all the players in their age divisions for a friendly head to head game against each other to showcase their talents.
Thunder Baseball of Kosciusko had three players compete this year and all placed first place in their skill.
Austin Horne was named Champion of the 9U Home Run Derby, Braydon Rigby was crowned Champion of the Home-to-Home fastest running times, and Cody Polson was named Champion of the fastest catcher pop up time.
Thunder Baseball is coached by Shea Schuler, Robby Horne, and Roy Cummins.
