Local FFA students perform well in Federation Competition


Attala County Future Farmers of America (FFA) students recently competed in the Big Black Federation Competition.

Excited FFA members from Kosciusko, Louisville, Choctaw, Webster, Noxapater, and Nanih Waiya competed in categories inlcuding Tool ID, Tractor Driving/ Maintenance, Welding, Creed Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, Prepared Public Speaking, and Opening/Closing Ceremony.

Attala County FFA teams placed well in a number of events:

  • 1st Place Prepared Public Speaking: Katie Wilkerson
  • 1st Place Senior Creed Speaking: Moleyia Harmon
  • 3rd Place Extemporaneous Speaking: Jayla Gibson
  • 3rd Place Opening & Closing Ceremony: Kristin Roby, Jayla Gibson, Abigail Atkinson, Conner Winters, KenBoatman,  Alyssa Wade and Katie Wilkerson

These students will move on the the next contest on Friday March 29th at East Central Community College.
