Local teams to begin postseason play this weekend

Several local baseball and softball teams will begin postseason play this week.

Kosciusko baseball, Kosciusko softball, Ethel baseball, and Ethel softball will all host playoff games Friday, April 19.

Kosciusko baseball is the #1 seed in the Region 3-4A will host #4 seed Amory.

Kosciusko softball will also host Amory in the opening round.

As #1 seeds from Region 6-1A, both the Ethel Tigers softball and baseball team will host Lumberton.

All four teams will have home field advantage in the first round. That means, barring any changes to the schedule, the teams would play at home Friday and on the road Saturday and game 3, if needed, would be played at home on Monday.
