Attala County Fire Department, Zama Volunteers, and Carmack Volunteers responded to calls reporting a woods fire on Attala Rd. 4216/Sand Rd. Sunday afternoon.
Multiple MS Forestry units were called to assist and contain the fire.
ACFD Chief Tim Cox tells Breezy News that approximately 400 acres burned in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
