The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting.
A Mississippi State Trooper was on patrol near Newport Road in Holmes County, around 6:30 A.M. when shots were fired into his vehicle.
The trooper received no injuries.
MBI is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence.
Upon completing their investigation, agents will share their findings with the local District Attorney’s Office.
