The Mississippi State University Extension office of Attala County will hold a Safety Expo for local elementary students.
The event will be held at the Attala County Coliseum Tuesday, March 5 for 5th graders.
Local and leaders in several fields will give presentations on several different areas of safety.
Topics and experts include:
- Weather Safety – Jim Dendy
- Heat Exhaustion/Hydration – Dr. Breck Richardson
- Fire – Kosciusko Fire Department
- Wildfire Safety – Chris Burnham: MS Forestry Commission
- Boating & Hunting Safety – Jason Blaylock, Phillip Fance, Brice Cole: MS Wildlife, Fisheries, & Parks
- Electricity – Entergy
- Internet Safety – Cole Bowman: Desktop Service Specialist MSU Extension Office
- Firearm Safety – Jose Watson: Mississippi Highway Patrol
