MSU Extension Office to host Water Chemistry Management workshop

A fish pond water workshop will be held at the Attala County Extension Office on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.

The workshop will cover the topic of the importance of healthy pond water in fish production. The program will feature a presentation that will discuss basic water chemistry, how to improve deficiencies in water chemistry, as well as water and soil testing for ponds.

Participants may bring pond water to be tested for alkalinity at no charge. In addition, participants may bring dry soil from their pond be sent to MS State University for testing.

The charge for soil testing is $10.00 payable by check.
