The Attala County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of recent break-ins across the county, resulting in thefts and property damage.
On Attala Road 1155 off Hwy 19, a homeowner returned to find their door open and a generator among other items missing. Two rifles, valued at $3,000, were stolen from a truck on Highway 14 W. Another incident was reported on Highway 35 S near Attala Road 1016, where a knife and a gun, valued at $1,500, were stolen from a vehicle. Deputies also investigated a break-in on Highway 43 S near Attala Road 1005 where the resident reported property damage.
Authorities urge residents to keep doors and vehicles locked and report suspicious activity. The investigations are ongoing.
