Multiple Crashes Reported Today

7:01 a.m. – Attala County Deputies, Emergency Medical Services, Attala County Fire Department, and McCool Volunteers were all dispatched to an area of Highway 12 near the McCool area when they received reports of an accident that occurred there. Read more on that here.

12:20 p.m. – Kosciusko Police were dispatched to a minor two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Walmart. No injuries were reported.


*UPDATES*

4:11 p.m. – Kosciusko Police responded to a call reporting a minor two-vehicle accident that occurred in the parking lot of Kangaroo Crossing on Veterans Memorial Drive. No injuries were reported.

4:41 p.m. – Kosciusko Police were alerted to a disturbance involving a weapon that occurred on Simmons Lane.

5:04 p.m. – Kosciusko Police responded to a call reporting a disturbance progress at the Cannonade Apartments.

5:12 p.m. – Kosciusko Police were dispatched to a residence on North Wells Street regarding a disturbance in progress there.

5:56 p.m. – Attala County Fire Department and Carmack Volunteers were called to a woods fire on Attala Road 3102 near the Carmack area. The fire was quickly controlled and put out.

6:39 p.m. – Kosciusko Police were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 43 North/North Natchez Street and 5th Avenue when they received reports of a two-vehicle accident that occurred there between a log truck and a pickup truck. No injuries were reported.

9:42 p.m. – Kosciusko Police were called to Super 8 Motel on Veterans Memorial Drive for a disturbance in progress there.
