Local law enforcement responded to several incidents throughout the day on Monday, including multiple disturbances and minor crashes.
Just before 9 a.m., Kosciusko Police were called to Cannonade Apartments after reports of a group of people arguing outside. The situation de-escalated when officers arrived.
Another verbal dispute was reported at 10:10 a.m. behind Smoke’s on Hwy 12, involving a couple inside a vehicle.
Later in the afternoon, a mail carrier reported they were run off the road by a log truck on Attala Rd. 2146. Deputies assisted, and the vehicle was pulled from the ditch and reportedly was noted damaged in the wreck.
At 3 p.m., Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a minor two-vehicle accident on Hwy 35 near the Natchez Trace exit.
Kosciusko Police were dispatched at 10 p.m. to Dr. Martin Luther King Dr. regarding a large group arguing, but the crowd dispersed before officers arrived.
