The National Weather Service in Jackson says an EF-1 tornado hit western Attala County last week.
The tornado touched down just after 8:00 pm near the intersection of Hwys 19 and 440 and traveled east for 1.88 miles.
No injuries were reported, but the tornado did down several trees and power lines.
Another tornado was confirmed in Choctaw County the same day along the Natchez Trace Parkway.
