At 11:07 am Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, Natchez Trace Park Ranges along with Attala Fire were dispatched to the Natchez Trace for a report of a one vehicle MVA. The caller said that one person may be trapped in the SUV.
Attala 3 and 5, Deputies Mark Hill and Scott Chunn, arrived at the crash scene near the 162 mile marker at 11:13 and found the driver pinned in the vehicle.
Extrication was started and Medics called for an Air Ambulance to be called to the scene. Emergency personnel, using the jaws of life, were able to free the trapped occupant by 11:56 pm.
There has been no word on the cause of the accident or the full extent of the drivers injuries at this time.
The Natchez Trace Park Rangers will be in charge of the investigation.
