A man has died in a stabbing in Philadelphia.
The incident was reported around 12 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Arron McCarty of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police Chief Grant Myers said, “Philadelphia Police Department received a call of a subject who had been stabbed at 923 Gum Street. When officers arrived they found Aaron McCarty with a single puncture wound to the chest. McCarty was transported to the ER where he was later pronounced dead.”
Neshoba County Corner John E. Stephens stated the victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.
A female suspect was taken into custody following what officers believe to be a domestic dispute.
The suspect along with a juvenile, that was present during the incident, were interviewed. Investigators also consulted with the District Attorneys office regarding the facts of the case.
No charges have been filed at this time. The case will be presented to the Grand Jury.
The investigation is ongoing.
