Kolby, the Attala County Sheriff’s Office K-9, and his handler, Deputy Lucas Smith, paid a visit to Kosciusko Lower Elementary as well as Boswell Media today, Friday, Feb. 21.
The two showcased Kolby’s skills and Deputy Smith along with Chief Deputy Kelly Mitchell spoke about the role the K-9 plays in law enforcement.
Kolby was trained at Southern State K-9 in Petal, MS to aid in search and rescue operations as well as narcotics detection.
The Kosciusko School District has provided Boswell Media with photos from K-9 Kolby and Deputy Smith’s visit to Kosciusko Lower Elementary today. They can be seen in the photo gallery below.
