Thanks to a fantastic project idea from Attala FFA Chapter President Abbie Sanders, the support of dedicated parents, and approval from Principal Culley Newman, a junior FFA chapter was established at Ethel High School.

Ten brave 7th and 8th graders took the leap to explore their talents and learn about agriculture.

These young members, much like their senior counterparts, quickly got involved with fundraising and volunteering in their community.

Their biggest accomplishment so far was interviewing for the chance to earn their own FFA jackets.

For over a decade, Attala Farm Bureau has led the way in supporting local agricultural youth by providing FFA jackets to students who demonstrate knowledge and leadership skills.

This year, Attala FFA partnered with a new sponsor, Attala Frozen Foods.

The chapter is especially thankful for the panel of judges, which included Attala Farm Bureau Women’s Chairperson Sarah Cotton, Attala Farm Bureau Board President James Rasberry, former Mississippi FFA State Vice President Josie Johnson, and Attala Frozen Foods owner Ben Pinkard Sr.

Mr. Ben Pinkard, Matthew Weaver, Brystal Allison, River Hutchinson, Sarah Cessna, Kamy Cochran, Haley Smith, Addy Moore, and Ava Smith, Mrs. Sarah Cotton, and Mr. James Rasberry.
