The City of Kosciusko held its annual community clean up day Saturday, April 19.
This is event which held the Saturday before the festival in preparation for a large amount of visitors into the area.
“I was proud of my Mayor’s Youth Council, as well as Beta Club students from the high school and junior high,” said Kosciusko Mayor Tim Kyle. “These kids showed up and made a big difference and genuinely care about their community. Also, had a great turnout from residents who brought out trash and items from their homes to help with the cleanup effort.
Waste Management for provided a dumpster for the event, which was placed at the Attala County Coliseum, and Stephen Franks of Franks Chevolet for provided lunch for the students after completing their cleanup duties.
