A class of Attala County students spent their Christmas party at a local nursing home.

On Wednesday, Dec 20, Greenlee Elementary’s 6th grade class willingly gave up their own class Christmas party to spend Christmas with the residents at Atwood Personal Care Home.

For the second year in a row, Mr. Rivers Dickerson of Dickerson Petroleum donated a Marathon gas card for the class to raffle to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for the residents at Atwood.

Students and their parents worked hard to raise the funds needed to make the project a success.  Attached are pictures of students and residents enjoying time together.

The 6th grade class would like to thank Mr. Rivers for his generous donation and ongoing support of 6th grade class and Atwood PCH for allowing us to spend Christmas with them while teaching students that “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35
