Kosciusko Junior High School Beta took 55 students to compete at the State Beta Club Convention in Biloxi Feb. 26-28.
This is only the second year for KJHS Beta to compete in the convention.
The National Beta theme this year is “Radiate!”
These students showed how bright they shine with not only academics, but their conduct as well.
Students competed in a variety of categories, such as Academics (Math, Science, Language Arts, Spelling), Apparel Design, Digital Portfolio, Living Literature, Onsite Drawing, Onsite Cake Decorating, Performing Arts, Robotics and Three-Dimensional Design.
The students spent several months studying and preparing their projects for this convention.
Cy Chennault (7th Grader) placed 3rd in Seventh Grade Language Arts and Bentlee Ebelhar (8th Grader) placed 1st in Junior Three-Dimensional Design.
Both boys received an invitation to compete in the National Beta Club Convention in Orlando, FL in June.
