The Attala County Library honored community helpers in honor of Patriot Day by hosting members from the Attala County Fire Department and the Kosciusko Police Department at the Library Learners Homeschool meeting.
Firefighter Keith conducted a quick two-minute demonstration, showcasing how to put on his protective gear, which he completed in just one minute and twenty-three seconds.
Afterwards, he remained in his gear, allowing the children to get a close look and become familiar with what a firefighter looks like in full equipment, helping to ease any fears they may have in case they ever need assistance.
The kids also had the opportunity to tour the fire truck and ended the day by creating fireworks in a jar.
