The Willows (formerly known as Atwood Personal Care Home) held its 2nd annual Christmas Parade on Friday.

During the parade, residents decorate their walkers with the help of their friends and family

Addtionally, students from the Kosicusko Attala Career Tech Center and instructor Amy Price visited the home for the parade.

This year’s parade featured Rudolph and Santa Clause, a manger scene, Christmas present themes, and so many more creative things were done to these walkers.

The parade takes place in the halls of the home.

Activities Director Ashlee Crowson picks out a Christmas music  playlist while the residents line up and take a stroll with their decorated walkers through the halls of the home.

This is called the “honor walk” and it’s done in memory of the residents who have passed away.

This makes my heart so full of joy and very happy! Thank you Mrs Amy Price, former outstanding student, for the organization and opportunity that you have provided your students to bring Holiday Joy to these beautiful residents!

I’m so sad that I missed it. Sherlene texted me and I called her and she told me all about it. Thank you for remembering my sweet, kind, cardinal loving mama. She loved everybody more! I hate I didn’t get to see and hear what was said about my mama, but I was thrilled when I was told the residents clapped when her name was mentioned. Thank you again for loving on my dear mama. Love you MORE💚
