Possible Break-In, Solicitors, and a Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Monday in Attala

Kosciusko Police were called to a home on Thornton St. around 1 p.m. after a report of a possible break-in, with concerns that a suspect might still be inside. Officers investigated and have confirmed there was no break-in.

At 1:52 p.m., officers responded to reports of three individuals soliciting home inspections for hail damage in the Wren St. area. The individuals were later located on Love Rd.

A pedestrian in a motorized wheelchair was struck by a vehicle near N. Wells St. and W. North St. at 2:48 p.m. The individual initially reported no injuries but was later transported to the hospital by ambulance. Police and EMS responded to the scene.

    Anyone soliciting door to door is required to have a permit from City Hall. Ask them for the permit and make sure they are licensed and bonded for any business transaction. Always best to use local contractors that you know.
