Dozens of Sears Hometown Stores are going to be closing, including one in Philadelphia. Hometown Stores spun off from Sears Holdings in 2012.

Philadelphia store owner, Lee Gardner, says he is liquidating all Sears merchandise and separating from the company.

Gardner says workers will remain employed through Jan. 19, 2019, which is the last day to buy merchandise from the liquidation sale.

Gardner says he plans to reopen his own business, where he says he’ll have a greater range of products.

It will be located in the same building in Philadelphia, which he owns.
