The Attala County Sheriff’s Office wants to warn of a new scam targeting residents of Kosciusko and Attala County.
Sheriff Tim Nail says his office has received numerous call about scammers calling and impersonating someone from the Attala County Sheriff’s Office.
The scammers tell their victims that they have outstanding fines and will be arrested if they don’t pay.
Nail said this is a scam and that his office would never call and threaten to arrest anyone over the phone.
