Sheriff Tim Nail tells Breezy News of felony arrests his Department has made over the last two days.
According to Nail, on 03/12/2019 Ronnie Madison Jr., a 26 year old B/M from Goodman MS, was taken into custody on two felony charges.  The charges stem from an Armed Robbery and Shooting that took place in Sallis on December 21, 2018.  Law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshal’s Service and Holmes County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for Madison since December 2018.  Madison has been charged with Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault in Attala County and also faces charges in Holmes County.
The next arrest came the next day on the 13th when the Sheriff said his Department executed a search warrant at the residence of Rickey Sanders II on Attala Road 3041 in the Hesterville area.  The search was made in relation to an ongoing investigation involving stolen property.  During the search Deputies discovered narcotics, weapons, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.  Rickey Sanders II was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  He was transported to the Leake County Jail.

I do not understand we only have a big drug bust or other big arrest only when the sheriff is running for re- election the rest of the three years you do not here many arrested you do not even here them coming to trial ??????

  2. Chris says:

Things don’t just occur at election time. Some people just choose to wait until election time to pay attention to what goes on in the county.

    • jr says:

I go on breezy news everyday there no big drug bust until about eight months before the election it has always been that way even with the last four sheriffs we have had here ????

      • Obviously says:

The reason why you see more now is because more is being reported, due to public interest around election time. Arrests are happening all the time. People are constantly being tried and convicted. But court convictions and arrests aren’t mandatory public knowledge. More is released now because people want to know before they go to the polls.

After seeing negative comments towards the ASO department, I did a little research.

Here are just a couple arrest the ASO has made over the past year. Seems to me they are doing a good job!!! I hope all that want to be negative towards the ASO and say they don’t hear of court procedures against the criminal do a little home work on that. Contact/Blame your district attorneys. It is out of the SO’s hands once it goes to the district attorneys office. They make plea deals with these criminals. That’s why they don’t go to trial. You sheriff can only do so much, only what the LAW allows them to do!!!!!
