A standoff with an armed man who was barricaded in a home on the Choctaw Indian Reservation ended last night after almost seven hours with the man being taken into custody. A tribal spokeswoman says the incident began around 2 pm on Dixon Road in the Redwater community when Choctaw police got a call from a concerned citizen. When officers arrived, shots were fired from the house but nobody was hurt. More law enforcement agencies including the FBI responded but efforts to convince the man to surrender were unsuccessful. And shortly before 9 pm, tear gas was used as officers went into the house to arrest the man. His name has not been released.
