The Mississippi Department of Archives and History has awarded over $3 million in grants to preservation and restoration projects across the state including one in Neshoba County and another in Holmes County. Booker T. Washington School in Philadelphia will receive $115,200 for gym floor and bleacher repairs. And the county courthouse in Lexington has been awarded $276,630 for restoration of the second floor courtroom and masonry work. Both buildings are designated as Mississippi landmarks.
