Carthage Police recovered a stolen Mazda CX-5 rental vehicle on Tuesday, Feb. 18 around 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Wendy’s.
Officers ran the license plate and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen.
It seems the vehicle was rented at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport and not returned.
Beverly Ann Waters, 38 of Tchula, MS, was taken into custody for motor vehicle theft.
The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority has taken over the charges and investigation.
