Damage Reported After Easter Storms In Mississippi

SHARE NOW

It was a stormy Easter weekend with two rounds of severe weather in Mississippi.  Severe storms on Saturday were followed by more of the same which moved through the local area Sunday morning knocking down some trees on Highway 19 southeast of Kosciusko, blowing the roof off a building in Neshoba County south of Dixon and dropping golf ball sized hail near the Leake-Neshoba county line at Laurel Hill.   Later in the day, a few possible tornadoes rolled through along with hail as big as baseballs and tennis balls along the I-20 corridor from Vicksburg to Jackson.  In Mendenhall, a gas station’s canopy over its pumps was blown off and a tree fell into the roof of an apartment complex.
