Three Arrested on Drug Charges

Three men are behind bars on multitude of charges including felony drug charges.
Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail tells Breezy News that the arrests came after Attala 9, Deputy Scott Walters, come up on a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis stopped in the middle of Attala Road 4202. When the deputy stopped to assist, what was thought to be a disabled motorist, the driver explained that they were stopped looking for a location to relieve themselves.
During the interaction K-9 Victor alerted to the presence of drugs. According to Walters Victor also alerted on what could have turned into a physical confrontation with only one deputy on scene and helped to keep the peace until backup arrived.
Walters called for assistance from other deputies in the area after finding a firearm in the vehicle. Deputies Tim Cox, Blake Burns and Investigator Mark Hill arrived and a search of the vehicle and the subjects was conducted. Officers recovered Marijuana, Cocaine. a firearm along with over $1,000.00 in cash.
Arrested for possession of a controlled substance felony (Cocaine and Marijuana) was Raiford Bacon 47 year old black male from Tchula, Ms.
Also arrested were Jaleel McGee, 26 year old black male from Goodman, Ms and Lavar Deshaun Bailey, 36 year old black male from Durant, Ms. Both men were charged with possession of a controlled substance misdemeanor (Marijuana). Deshaun and McGee also had warrants for their arrest, McGee from Kosciusko Police for failure to appear. Bailey had a warrant issued from Ohio for theft and trespassing.
All three men were transported to the Leake County Correctional Facility. No bond had been set in any case.
