The Town of Ethel will hold a special election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the Town the question of whether the number of aldermen should be reduced from five to three.
The special election will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of Mississippi law and any other applicable legal requirements.
If a majority of the qualified electors voting in the special election vote in favor of reducing the number of aldermen, the reduction shall take effect at the next regular municipal election or as otherwise provided by law.
Absentee Ballots may be cast during regular business hours of Monday- Friday 8:00 am -noon and Saturday
Sept. 21 and 28 from 8:00 -noon.
