The state trooper who was shot in the arm during a traffic stop in Mound Bayou Tuesday morning continues to recover with the man accused of shooting him now in custody. Trooper Ryan Watson underwent surgery for his injuries. Federal marshals arrested Stanley Self Jr Thursday at an apartment complex in Brandon. He’s charged with attempted murder and felon in possession of a firearm. Additional charges are expected.
