Officers Respond to a Caller Being Chased

At 8:55 p.m. there was a call placed about a person being chased by someone in another vehicle. An individual allegedly pulled a gun on another individual in Leake county. The two then each got into their own vehicles and began traveling toward Attala county. The individual being chased called police for help. Kosciusko Police and Attala County Deputies quickly responded to the situation. The pursuer ended up wrecking their vehicle on Hwy 43 South before officers reached them. Kosciusko City Fire and Attala County Fire responded to a call at 9:05 p.m. about the accident. Neither party was injured, and no charges have been filed. Officers say this is an ongoing investigation, so that may change.

10:00 a.m. – Kosciusko Police and Attala County Deputies responded to a call about a semi truck blocking a lane of traffic on Hwy 12 near McCool.

12:36 p.m. – Kosciusko Police were dispatched to a call about a break in on Fairground St.
