A traffic snarl in Holmes County Monday involving thousands of angry honeybees.
According to Mississippi State Trooper Jose Watson, the bees were aboard an 18-wheeler driven by an Oklahoma man which overturned on southbound I-55 near Goodman.
“Even the troopers that responded that were on the scene could not really get out of the vehicles for the bees were on their vehicles as well,” said Watson.
The highway was reopened, but passing motorists were cautioned to keep their windows rolled up.
The hope was that the bees would calm down overnight and the truck and trailer could be removed.
