A new TV series filmed in Mississippi has debuted on national television.
It’s called “Women of the Movement and it tells the story of the murder of Emmett Till and his mother’s efforts that led to the beginning of the Civil Rights movement.
The series was filmed last year in Durant, Greenville, and other locations in the Mississippi Delta.
It is produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z.
New episodes air Thursday nights on ABC.
