Two Little Whippets selected for all-star football games


Two members of the Kosciusko Little Whippets football team have been selected to play in all-star games.

Quarterback Brett Dickerson and offensive lineman Jace Huntley were both chosen to play in the 2024 Dream All-American Bowl Games.

Huntley will play in the game held at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL on June 23. Dickerson will play July 14 at The Star in Frisco, TX.

“The athletes that were selected have exemplified great leadership skills on and off the field, and have stood out as leading performers in each position,” said Shannon Riley, CEO of Dream Sports Group, “We believe that these are the next stars of the game, and we want to recognize them for their outstanding achievements and help them get to the next level.”

Dickerson and Huntley are teammates on the 12U Little Whippets football team, with Dickerson as QB and Huntley as center.

Dickerson is a 6th grader at Kosciusko Junior High. He was named the 2022 Little Whippets’ MVP.

Huntley is a 5th grader at Durant Elementary and has earned honors such as Most Impressive Lineman and Most Valuable Lineman.
