Attala Deputies, MedStat EMS, The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with Attala Fire and Rescue worked two accidents back to back Thursday morning.
The first call came in at 7:43 a.m. notifying dispatch that there was a minor 10-50 (Auto Accident) on highway 12 east at Attala Hardwood. MDOT was cleaning he roadway and directing traffic through the work zone. No injuries were reported in this accident.
Emergency personnel were still on scene working the first accident at 8:07 a.m. when a second took place at the same location.
MHP and ACSO tells Breezy News that a pickup was stopped waiting on the MDOT flagman to allow them through the work zone when they were rear-ended by the second vehicle.
MedStat transported two patients to Baptist-Attala for medical treatment. There has been no word on the extent of their injuries.
