Central Electric Continues Restoration Efforts
Significant progress has been made in power restoration efforts. Crews continue to work in
each district restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. There is damage to many
lines due to the severe weather along with approximately 35 broken poles.
Outside assistance arrived this afternoon from Alcorn Electric Power Association in
Mississippi and C & L Electric Cooperative Corporation in Arkansas.
As of 5:30 p.m., Central Electric Power Association has 533 members without electric
service. Outages by county are:
Leake – 27
Attala – 1
Neshoba – 4
Newton – 23
Rankin – 232
Scott – 246

    IT’S ALWAYS THE EXACT SAME AREA OF PIKE COUNTY THAT LOOSES POWER. & ALWAYS. THE SAME SPOT THATS LAST TO BE TURNED BACK ON !
