Vehicle Fire Thursday Afternoon in Attala

The Attala County Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Attala Road 4171 shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

According to officials, the driver reported seeing smoke coming from under the hood as they were leaving a residence.

The fire spread to the interior of the vehicle before crews were able to extinguish it.

The vehicle was a total loss. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
