Vehicle’s brakes fail causing a 4 car crash in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Police, EMS, and Philadelphia Fire Department were all dispatched to a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pecan Ave. and Beacon St. at 9:38 a.m. on Thursday, December 28th.  The roadway was completely blocked for around an hour until some of the vehicles could be towed from the scene.

The white GMC truck pictured was traveling west on Beacon St. when the brakes failed, causing the collision.  One person was transported to the hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.
