Video: Bulldogs defeat Indians 27-24 on game winning field goal to remain unbeaten

The Holmes Community College Bulldogs traveled to Fulton tonight to play a North Division game against the Indians of Itawamba Community College. It was a defensive battle with no points scored in the opening quarter but by halftime the Bulldogs trailed the Indians 17-7. In the third quarter each team would score a touchdown with the Indians maintaining a 10 point lead going into the final quarter. The Bulldogs scored a field goal early in the 4th and scored the tying touchdown late in the quarter. With less than 5 seconds remaining in the game Holmes scored another field goal to win the game by 3 points, 27-24. Kicker Dan Lindsay was named the Sullivan’s Drugs and Gifts player of the game. Next week the Bulldogs travel to Senatobia to play the Rangers of Northwest Mississippi Community College. Kickoff at 7:00pm with the Boswell Media Sports pregame show on the air on Breezy 101 at 6:30pm.
