A parade and birthday program were held in downtown Kosciusko Monday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The parade took a tour around the historic square and then made its way to the parking lot across from Craft Cleaners.
Kosciusko Mayor Tim Kyle made the opening remarks. That was followed by scripture reading and prayer from Rev. Jerone Garland.
Speakers for the event were scholarship winners from the MLK essay contest: Jasmine Johnson – Ethel High School; Khameron Harvey – Kosciusko High School; Demeria Moore – McAdams High School.
