The Kosciusko Whippets traveled to Decatur to play the Newton County Cougars in this week’s football action.

After a quick first quarter and a penalty-heavy second quarter, the Cougars led at halftime 14-6.  The third quarter was a shootout.  Four touchdowns later, the Cougars led 28-20 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.  Kosciusko came from behind in the fourth quarter for an exciting win, 64-28.

Nick Sudduth was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game.  Now, that’s something to smile about!

Be sure to come back next week when the Whippets open their division play with a road trip to Caledonia.  All Whippets football games are available on Breezy 101, breezynews.com, the Breezy News app, and the Boswell Media Sports YouTube channel.
