The Kosciusko Whippets boys and girls basketball teams both ended the regular season Thursday night with wins over French Camp Academy.
The Lady Whippets opened Senior Night with a 58-46 win over the Lady Panthers. The team’s next game will be against Noxubee County in the Region 4-4A Tournament. The Lady Whippets are the #4 seed.
Senior Night festivities were held at the conclusion of the the girls game.
Senior players and managers were joined by their families at mid-court.
The boys team also came through with a big win to close out the season. The Whippets defeated the Panthers 76-52. The team ended the regular season as the Region 4-4A Regular Season Champions with a record of 20-6.
The Whippets will be the #1 seed in the Region 4-4A District Tournament. As Region Champs, the team gets a bye in the first round. The Whippets will play the winner of Noxubee County/Leake Central on Thursday, Feb. 14.
The Region 4-4A Tournament will be held Feb. 12 – Feb. 15 at Leake Central High School.
