Whippets Win Big in First Game of Playoffs

In a game delayed from Friday, the Kosciusko Whippets won over the Clarksdale Wildcats with a score of 27-0.

In the Whippets’ half of the first inning, the Clarksdale pitcher took one hard to the chest and was done for the day.  The Whippets then proceeded to put twenty-four runs on the board before surrendering the first inning.

The game was called in the third inning, by mercy rule, with a final score of 27-0.

El’Darius Roby and John Deason were both named Autumn Ridge Dental’s Players of the Game.

The second game in this best-of-three series will be played Monday afternoon at 1 p.m.  All playoff games will be available, audio only by rule of the MHSAA, on Breezy101, breezynews.com, and the BreezyNews app.
