The Kosciusko Whippets are back on Whippet Field tonight for double header conference games hosting the Noxubee County Tigers from Macon. Only the first game of the double header will be broadcast on Breezy101. The Whippets enter this first game with a 5-7 overall season record and 1-1 in Region 4-4A while the Tigers enter the game 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
The Whippets wasted no time putting runs on the scoreboard, scoring five runs in the bottom of the 1st inning that included a three run home run by Ethan Gowan. The Whippets added two more runs in the bottom of the 2nd, two in the bottom of the third, and then 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to take a 13-0 lead at which point the game was stopped by the eight runs rule. The Whippets improve to 6-7 overall and 2-1 in conference. Ethan Gowan was named tonight’s Autumn Ridge Player of the game.
