The Whippets baseball team hosted the Amory Panthers in the deciding Game 3 of the 1st Round of the playoffs. Winner moves on to Round 2! Loser is done for the year!
Unlike the first two games, where they played slowly and cautiously, this game took off as a shootout, with Kosciusko up 9-5 after two innings. Still keeping it tight, it was 11-10, with Amory ahead, after five innings. In a spectacular finish, Bennie Powell hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to take the win!
